within the “Round of Friends of the Technical Museum in Brno”
The branch associates all people who are interested in windmills and are in humour for the service in the branch (namely the windmills owners in our country and abroad, museums and monuments institute clerks, medium workers, teachers, professional and amateur investigators.)
The aim of the branch activity is to pass special information to the members and to present windmills like an interesting technical monuments to the general public.
Main activities:
- regular meetings of branch members associated with excursion
- annual excursion to the windmills in abroad
- to public the branch bulletin under the name “Hasačert”
- to publish the news on the windmills in Internet
Scheduled actions:
- every spring the excursion to the foreign countries and the autumn meeting of the branch connected with the excursion over the windmills in Czech Republic
- preparation of informative and advertising materials on the windmills for press, broadcast and television
- preparation of fine prints on the prints on the selected windmills
Presently realised actions:
- saving the threatened windmills in Spálov
- assistance at the restoration of windmills in Světlík, Borovnice, Jalubí and elsewhere
- reciprocal technical assistance at windmills reparations and reconstruction
